Sustainability Workshop: Coral Restoration 珊瑚保育工作坊

Join us for a special program that highlights the vital role of coral in marine ecosystems! 🌊 Coral not only provides habitat for countless marine species but also maintains ecological balance. Coral protects coastlines and serves as a breeding ground for fish and other sea life. However, it faces threats from climate change, ocean pollution, and human activity, putting its survival at risk.

In our hands-on session, participants will receive materials to create emergency coral bases that release calcium carbonate in seawater, promoting coral growth. Under expert guidance, you'll learn about coral restoration and the importance of ocean conservation. Don't miss out on this enlightening experience! 🐠

加入我們的特別活動，了解珊瑚在海洋生態系統中的重要角色！🌊 珊瑚不僅為無數海洋物種提供棲息地，還維持生態平衡。珊瑚保護海岸線，並作為魚類和其他海洋生物的繁殖場所。然而，它們正面臨氣候變化、海洋污染及人類活動的威脅，生存受到嚴重衝擊。

在實作環節中，參加者將獲得材料，用以製作急救珊瑚底座，這些底座能在海水中釋放碳酸鈣，促進珊瑚生長。在專業指導下，您將學習珊瑚修復的知識及保護海洋的重要性。不要錯過這次啟發人心的體驗！🐠

Fee 費用: HK$100 (The fee will be reimbursed upon confirmation of student attendance at the event. 如參加者準時出席活動，費用將會全數退回。)

Please note that it will be a one-hour shuttle-bus ride. Be prepared for the journey! 車程需時1小時。

Please bring along your ELA passport, your own snacks, water bottle, and mosquito repellent. 請帶備ELA 通行證。因活動時間較長, 子女可帶自備少許零食、足夠飲用水及驅蚊用品。

Important Notes:
1. Registrations for outings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the quota is reached.
2. If the activity is oversubscribed, that is the number of registrations exceeds the available quota, participants will be selected through drawing lots. All registrants will be notified of their selection status following the draw.
3. Unsuccessful registrants will be placed on a waitlist in sequential order. Once there are vacancies, they will be filled by waitlisted participants accordingly.
4. Successful registrants will receive a confirmation email two weeks prior to the activity date. Upon receiving the confirmation, participants should settle the payment within 72 hours to secure the place. ASHK reserves the right to release the quota if participants fail to pay in time.

2. 如報名人數超出限額，將以抽籤方式決定參加者，所有已登記人士將於抽籤結果公布後獲個別通知。
3. 抽籤落選者將按順序列入輪候名單，如有名額釋出將依序遞補。
4. 成功報名者將於活動日兩週前收到確認電郵。 收到電郵後需於 72 小時內完成繳費以確認名額。若未按時繳費，本中心有權釋出該名額。
